What is Juvederm VOLUX?
Juvederm VOLUX® is the latest hyaluronic acid dermal filler from Allergan. Like Juvederm VOLUMA®, VOLBELLA® and VOLIFT®, it uses Allergan’s patented VYCROSS® technology. This technology links both high and low molecular-weight hyaluronic acid to create a connected gel. The resulting filler can then be easily moulded and helps to lift skin as well as shape the face.
What is Juvederm VOLUX dermal filler used for?
Juvederm VOLUX was specifically formulated to lift, shape and define the lower face. It’s a highly mouldable and dense hyaluronic acid dermal filler. These properties make it perfect when lifting and contouring are required. As such, VOLUX has been specifically formulated to enhance, shape and augment the chin. It’s also particularly effective in lifting, reshaping and sculpting the jawline and can be combined with Botox injections to the lower face or the non surgical neck.
Are there any side effects to using Juvederm VOLUX dermal filler?
Although Juvederm VOLUX has been specifically designed for use in non-surgical chin and jawline reshaping, there are important risks to consider. However, it is only safe and effective when it is delivered in a clinical setting by a qualified and experienced medical practitioner. Like anywhere on the face, injection of any type of filler or product carries the general risk of bruising, infection, lumps, unevenness or even scarring. Whilst thankfully rare, incorrect placement of any dermal filler can carry more serious consequences like chronic inflammation or in the worst possible cases tissue death or even blindness if it is injected into or compresses blood vessels. How long does Juvederm Volux last?
Juvederm VOLUX is Allergan’s longest lasting hyaluronic acid dermal filler to date. In studies it has been shown to last for up to 18-24 months. In general however, the amount of time dermal fillers last does ultimately depend on how quickly your body breaks down the filler which obviously varies from person to person. As it is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, it can also be dissolved more quickly using hyaluronidase enzyme if you dislike the result or have any complications.
