Teosyal Redensity II Under Eye Filler
Teosyal Redensity II is the only filler licensed by the FDA for use in the under eye area for tear trough correction. As such, at City Skin Clinic we only use Teosyal Redensity II for all of our tear trough correction treatments. It is a hyaluronic acid filler which is injected under the skin by needle or microcannula or both.
Teosyal Redensity II is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is designed for treating the delicate under eye area. It is the only dermal filler currently licensed for use in tear trough correction and posses a number of qualities that make it suitable for this purpose. Teosyal Redensity II contains a mixture of cross-linked and non cross-linked hyaluronic acid which gives it the right viscoelastic properties for filling hollows in the tear trough area. It also contains a mixture of Vitamins and anti-oxidants which help restore skin hydration, promote skin cell regeneration and even out skin tone. At City Skin Clinic, we use Teosyal Redensity II filler in all of our tear trough correction treatments to:
- Fill out the hollows of the eye (also known as tear troughs) and restore lost volume
- Smoothing fine lines and wrinkles in the under eye area
- Improve surface hydration, texture and reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes
Although Teosyal Rednesity II is the only filler licensed in the UK for use in tear trough correction, it is only safe and effective when it is delivered in a clinical setting by a qualified and experienced aesthetic doctor. Like anywhere on the face, injection of any type of filler or product carries the general risk of bruising, infection, lumps, asymmetry or even scarring. These risks can be greatly reduced by using the correct technique, most appropriate high-quality filler for the area to be treated and of course injection should always be by a skilled medical professional who is knowledgeable about the anatomy and physiology of the face. Incorrect placement of the filler, even if it is the right type of filler can carry grave consequences including causing wounds, chronic inflammatory reactions or in the worst case scenarios get into blood vessels and cause skin death or even blindness. This is why it is always important to take your time when considering a treatment and also to ensure that you choose the right clinic and doctor.
In general, the amount of time dermal fillers last depend on the type of filler used, the location it is injected and how quickly your body breaks down the filler. Teosyal Redensity II is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler which lasts between 8-18 months. It breaks down gradually so it won't suddenly disappear! It can, however, be dissolved more quickly using hyaluronidase enzyme if you dislike the result or have any complications.
Aesthetic and dermal filler treatments are not really regulated in the UK and hence you can find a large number of places offering whereby the practitioner may not be a doctor or even have any medical background! As such, the cost varies hugely reflecting this variability in the expertise of the person conducting the treatment. Another place where providers cut costs is in the type of filler used so when considering treatment, check specifically what brand of filler they will use for the tear trough correction.
