How We Correct a Gummy Smile Without Surgery
A gummy Smile when the upper lip lifts up far above your upper teeth when you smile. This is exposes your gums and makes the upper lip look thinner. The most common cause of this is due to overactivity of the muscles tat elevate the upper lip. The gummy smile can also be worsened by a naturally thin upper lip. If this happens, it can expose the gums even more. Thankfully, we can correct a gummy smile by reducing the activity of the muscle that elevates the upper lip. In patients with naturally thin lips, we can also combine this treatment with lip fillers.

You will start to notice an effect within the next 3-10 days and the full result will be visible 2 -3weeks after the treatment
For your safety and well-being, we perform a detailed medical consultation before every gummy smile correction treatment. This allows your doctor to assess your general health and aesthetic requirements. If it is deemed safe and appropriate then we can offer Botox anti-wrinkle injections. To ensure safety and great results, we tailor the amount of Botox® necessary for each individual client’s face and muscle size. We also provide a complimentary top-up at 3-4 weeks after treatment if needed.

I visited the City Skin Clinic recently and can honestly say that the service is exceptional. I have visited many clinics around London and have not found one that makes me feel comfortable, until I visited the City Skin Clinic. I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist who made me feel at ease. The hygiene is of a high standard, with safety measures taken into careful consideration. I was given gloves, shoe covers, hand sanitizer etc. The doctors conduct treatments with you in mind, they are very careful, skilled and the results look natural making a world of difference. I would highly recommend this clinic particularly as it caters for all skin tones, no one is left out, which is quite rare for aesthetic clinics.
