Belotero Filler (Archive)
Belotero filler is a type of hyaluronic acid dermal filler. These premium dermal fillers integrate with the skin. Belotero filler is unique because it has Cohesive Polydensified Matrix® (CPM®) technology. This produces different densities of hyaluronic acid. As a result, the filler mimics the natural structure of your tissues. In addition, it replicates your natural tissue behaviour. As such, the filler seamlessly meshes with your own tissues. This is why it looks and feels natural.
There are several dermal fillers in the Belotero range. Each is designed for a specific use. For instance, Belotero balance, intense and Volume are excellent for filling lines and wrinkles, deep folds and facial volumising respectively. On the other hand, Belotero soft smooths fine lines such as around the mouth (smokers’ lines).
In addition, Merz also have two unique fillers for the lips. Belotero shape enhances lip volume whilst Belotero contour restores the outline and definition of the lips.
What is the difference between Juvederm, Teosyal and Belotero?
Juvederm, Teosyal and Belotero are all premium brands of hyaluronic acid dermal filler. They are made by Allergan, Teoxane and Merz respectively. Juvederm is the oldest and most established brand of hyaluronic acid filler. The Juvederm range contains their original Juvederm ULTRA brand as well as their VYCROSS next generation fillers. The latter includes VOLUMA, VOLBELLA, VOLIFT and now VOLUX. The Teosyal range of hyaluronic acid fillers includes Teosyal redensity 2 and Resilient hyaluronic acid (RHA). What is Belotero Filler most commonly used for?
Belotero filler contains a mixture of hyaluronic acid densities. As a result, it incorporates into the skin. This filler is great for:
Smoothing wrinkles, lines and folds. Belotero Balance, Intense or soft are excellent for marionette lines, nose to mouth lines or jowls.
Restoring face volume and creating midface contour. We use Belotero Volume for cheek enhancement.
Lip enhancement and augmentation. Both Belotero Shape and Contour are ideal for this.
Are there any side effects associated with Belotero Filler?
This is a high quality dermal filler brand with an excellent reputation. However, you should always get treatment by an experienced medical professional. Remember, any type of dermal filler is an implant into your body. Hence incorrect filler injection can cause wounds, lumps, infections, scarring or get into blood vessels. In the worst cases, this can even cause blindness or tissue loss.
It is important to remember that even with a qualified and experienced doctor, there are still potential complications. Whilst not as serious as those mentioned above, these are more common. Examples of this include bruising, swelling, redness, asymmetry or allergy.
How long do Belotero fillers last?
Belotero fillers are temporary. As such, several reasons will dictate how long they last. Firstly, the type and thickness of filler will decide how long they last. Secondly, where it is injected is also a deciding factor. Thirdly, how quickly your body breaks it down is also critical.
For example, Belotero Balance can last around 6 months. On the other hand, Belotero Soft and Intense can last up to 12 months. Interestingly, Belotero Volume can last up to 18 months.
Since these are hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, they can be dissolved sooner. Hyaluronidase injections break down hyaluronic acid. This is useful should you have a complication or dislike the result.
What is the cost of Belotero treatment London?
The cost depends on the treatment, type and amount of filler needed and the expertise of the person performing it. As such fees tend to vary. For instance, Belotero filler performed by an experienced doctor in London tends to start from around £450 for treatment with 1ml of filler.
