Juvederm VOLIFT XC Facial Filler (Archive)
Juvederm VOLIFT XC, or as its also known Juvederm VOLLURE, is a next generation hyaluronic acid dermal filler from Allergan. VOLIFT is used in facial filling including cheek enhancement, nose to mouth line filling, and lip augmentation. It delivers excellent results where a smooth outcome, volume and lifting are needed.
WHAT IS JUVEDERM VOLIFT XC?
Juvederm VOLIFT XC, or VOLIFT for smooth is a highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid dermal filler from the Juvederm Vycross range family. It is produced by Allergan Ltd (they also make BOTOX injections). Juvederm VOLIFT fillers are longer lasting and can be used for a variety of facial filler treatments including around the mouth and midface.
Please note we no longer offer non surgical aesthetic treatments but have kept the below info as part of our archives.
What is the difference between Volift and Voluma?
Both Juvederm VOLIFT and VOLUMA are from the Juvederm Vycross range. This is Allergan’s second generation of fillers. Vycross technology uses specific cross-linking technology to join hyaluronic acid molecules of different sizes. This produces a strong, long lasting and soft injectable gel. Juvederm VOLIFT is a medium thickness gel whilst VOLUMA is denser thicker gel. As such, VOLIFT is better for more superficial skin injections such as nose to mouth lines, jowls and around the lips. On the other hand, VOLUMA is best for deeper injections where more volume is needed such as in the cheeks and jawline.
What is Juvederm VOLIFT most commonly used for?
VOLIFT contains hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in our skin and is responsible for plumping, hydrating and firming. At City Skin Clinic, we use Juvederm VOLIFT dermal filler for the following treatments:
Smoothing nose to mouth lines and folds
Treating marionette lines and wrinkles, the mouth and jowls
Lifting and reshaping the brows
In combination with Botox anti wrinkle injections to lift, redefine and rejuvenate the face through our liquid facelift
Are there any Juvederm VOLIFT side effects?
Although Juvederm fillers are internationally renowned premium products, it is vital to have treatment by a medical professional such as an experienced aesthetic doctor. This is because dermal fillers are still a foreign implant being injected into in the face. To reduce risks, it is crucial that only reputable brands of hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm, Belotero or Teosyal is used. In addition, the filler should be injected by someone who is trained and experienced in the procedure. Placement of any dermal filler in the wrong location can cause wounds, lumps, infections, scarring or in the worst case scenarios get into blood vessels tissue loss and even blindness.
Even in the best hands, there are potential side effects of Juvederm VOLIFT fillers such as bruising, swelling, redness, asymmetry or allergy. These side effects can be minimised or managed effectively if the treatment is performed by an experienced medical practitioner.
How long does VOLIFT treatment last?
In clinical trials, Juvederm VOLIFT has been shown to last for up to 18 months. In mobile areas of the face like the nose to mouth lines or lips, fillers may last for a shorter time regardless of the type of filler. The amount of time VOLIFT lasts also depends on how quickly your body breaks up the filler. In any case, VOLIFT is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler so the effects of treatment are temporary. In addition, they can also be dissolved using hyaluronidase enzyme if there are any complications or you’re unhappy with the outcome.
What is the cost of Juvederm VOLIFT treatment London?
The cost of VOLIFT treatment depends on the type of treatment needed, the amount of filler required and the expertise of the person performing it. At City Skin Clinic, our fees for treatment with the Juvederm VOLIFT start from £450.
