Sunday Vibes | Chloe Morello, Pineapples & More…

Spring is most definitely underway and we couldn’t be happier. That’s not just because we’ve been having to spend most of our paycheque on bronzer to fight winter sallow! Along with the little bit of sunshine and longer days, this time of year can bring about an improvement in mood, energy and opportunities for growth. To celebrate the advent of Spring, we’ve put together this special edition of Sunday Vibes in order to help you spring clean your beauty, health, home and finances. So pour yourself a cup of coffee (or tea), grab a pastry (unless you’re biohacking), sit back and be prepared to fall in love with Pineapples after reading this week’s digest.

YouTube Beauty Channel To Check Out

We’ve been admirers of Chloe Morello’s Youtube channel for a while now. Chloe is an Australian beauty vlogger who’s friendly down to earth tone has earned her superstar status on Youtube and Instagram (@chloemorello). Her instructional how-to makeup videos cover everything from day glow to more sophisticated femme fatale styles. The best thing, however, is that her delivery makes ease of even the most complicated techniques whilst her tone and energy make for very entertaining fun viewing. She’s also one of the few social media stars who is honest about having had professional aesthetic treatments like microblading, Botox injections and lip fillers. This is probably one of the many reasons she’s so popular as she uses her experiences to educate and inform about these treatments. Not to be missed are also her product reviews which often involve a haul of a particular makeup line at one time. We simply loved the KKW conceal, bake and brighten video! Equally unmissable is the applying $1100 worth of Charlotte Tilbury makeup review.

Hair & Skincare Tip To Try

Ok so Pineapple is the food that eats you whilst you eat it! Whilst freaky, this actually makes this rather strange and fanciful looking fruit probably the best thing that you can use on your skin at home! Not only do they contain B and C Vitamins, Pineapples also contain an enzyme called Bromelain which will eat through dead skin cells. As you know by now, dead skin cells are what make skin look dull, flaky and quite frankly haggard. For a long time, Bromelain has been a key component of enzyme peels and for a safe and cheap at home option, you can get a superficial peel at home using our Pineapple facial recipe. What’s even better is that you can also use Pineapples to make a good cleansing and nourishing hair mask to revive your hair.

Before you begin your revitalising Pineapple enzyme face mask, start by double cleansing your skin and if you have oily skin, use a physical exfoliant like Grounded Activated Charcoal Coffee Scrub first. For the face mask, use half a fresh Pineapple. After removing the skin, chop the pineapple and blend into a smooth puree. Apply the puree to your face and neck but avoid contact with your eyes. Leave on for 5 minutes (remove earlier if any irritation or burning) then wipe with a damp towel before washing off with cold water. You can finish off by applying your favourite nourishing moisturiser then enjoy your new brighter, smoother and younger-looking complexion.

For the hair mask, puree the second half of the peeled and chopped Pineapple then combine with 2-3 tablespoons of olive or avocado oil. Apply the mask onto unwashed dry hair for 15 minutes (from scalp to ends). Wash your hair with your usual Shampoo and conditioner. Say hello to shinier, bouncier and glossier hair! If you have any pulp left from the face mask you can apply it to your legs then wash it off in the shower alongside your hair mask for sexy glowing pins! One thing worth mentioning is that your bathroom will smell insanely gorgeous also!
